Bernardo Morgado Gaspar Lopes is a vastly experienced centre-back who has been at the core of Lincoln Red Imps' defence since 2015 — over 212 appearances and counting. Born in Cascais, Portugal, he came through the youth academies of Estoril Praia and S.L. Benfica before beginning his senior career with Louletano DC and C.S. Marítimo B. He then made the move to Gibraltar and never looked back, making the Rock his permanent home and earning naturalisation as a Gibraltar international in 2022 — now with over 39 caps to his name. Calm under pressure, strong in the air, and a natural organiser, Bernardo leads the defensive line with a quiet authority that only comes from a decade of top-level experience.
