Young Imps Ready for Zrinjski Mostar Return Leg

Ryan Casciaro has named a 20-man squad for our return leg against HŠK Zrinjski Mostar tomorrow evening at the Europa Point Stadium in the UEFA Youth League.

Our Young Imps were dealt a tough lesson in Bosnia last month, suffering a 6-0 defeat in the first leg. Zrinjski arrive in Gibraltar in good form, having won their last three matches since that encounter. Antonio Arapović was the standout performer in Mostar, scoring four goals, including a rebound after Lucas Becerra had initially saved his penalty.

Meanwhile, preparations for our Young Imps have been far from straightforward. Alongside the lengthy international break, ongoing issues at Lathbury Stadium have severely disrupted the domestic fixture calendar. Our U18s have managed just one competitive fixture, while our Reserves haven't returned to action since the end of August.

Despite these challenges, Ryan Casciaro's side head into tomorrow's encounter with confidence following an important 2-0 victory over rivals Europa FC last week. Goals from Jonathan Rowbottom and Nicholas Poggio secured all three points and provided a welcome boost ahead of another European test.

Tomorrow's fixture represents another valuable opportunity for our young players to test themselves on the European stage, gain experience against strong opposition and continue their development at the highest level of youth club football.

The UEFA Youth League clash against HŠK Zrinjski Mostar kicks off at 6pm tomorrow (Tuesday 13th October) at the Europa Point Stadium, with free entry for all supporters.

We encourage everyone to come down and get behind our Young Imps as they continue to represent Lincoln Red Imps and Gibraltar with pride on the European stage.
