CELEBRATING 50 YEARS WITH HISTORIC TREBLE

This year marks a monumental milestone for the club as we celebrate its 50th anniversary - half a century of dominance, growth, and unforgettable moments in Gibraltar football. Founded in 1976, we have evolved from a local side into a symbol of consistency and ambition, not only domestically but increasingly on the European stage.

This current season will go down as one of the greatest in the club’s illustrious history. Fittingly for such a landmark year, we secured a remarkable domestic treble - lifting the Gibraltar Football League title, the Rock Cup, and the Pepe Reyes Cup. It’s a clean sweep that reflects the club’s enduring winning mentality and its ability to continue setting the standard in Gibraltar football.

The 2025–26 season will be remembered as one of the finest in the club’s illustrious history. In a year that fittingly marked a major milestone, we completed a remarkable domestic treble - beginning with victory in the Pepe Reyes Cup, followed by success in the Rock Cup, and capped off by securing the Gibraltar Football League title last weekend. It was a clean sweep that not only highlighted the team’s quality and consistency but also reinforced the club’s enduring winning mentality and its ability to continue setting the benchmark in Gibraltar football. 

As we head into the final game of the season, seven points clear at the top, there is a certain poetry in that number. The number seven, so often associated with moments of magic, has long been worn by one of the most iconic figures in Lincoln Red Imps history: Lee Casciaro.

For over a decade, Casciaro has been at the heart of the club’s success, embodying everything Lincoln Red Imps stand for. His impact goes far beyond goals, though his record in front of goal speaks for itself. Time and again, he has delivered in the biggest moments, leading from the front with intelligence, composure, and an unrelenting drive to win.

But what truly sets him apart is his consistency and longevity at the highest level of Gibraltar football. Season after season, he has remained a decisive figure, adapting his game, guiding younger players, and maintaining the standards that define the club.

On the European stage, Casciaro has etched his name into history, playing a key role in some of Lincoln’s most memorable nights. The journey began in the Faroe Islands, a challenging opening test that set the tone for what was to come. From there, we faced European giants Red Star Belgrade - an occasion that highlighted just how far the club has come, competing on a stage once unimaginable and gaining invaluable experience against elite opposition.

One of the standout moments of the campaign came in Armenia, where Lincoln produced a dramatic victory over FC Noah, triumphing on penalties in a tense and unforgettable encounter. It was a performance defined by composure, belief, and character - qualities that have become synonymous with the club.

Lincoln’s European story also continued in the UEFA Europa League play-offs, where the team created history with a notable performance against Braga. Competing against such high-level opposition once again underlined the club’s progress and its ability to challenge established European sides.

That momentum carried into a full UEFA Conference League campaign, where Lincoln Red Imps represented Gibraltar with pride across multiple rounds, showcasing their development on the continental stage. Each match added another chapter to the club’s growing European identity - one built on determination, discipline, and a refusal to be overawed.

As the club reflects on 50 years of history, this treble-winning season, combined with an unforgettable European journey, stands as a powerful reminder of how far Lincoln Red Imps have come. It is a story of ambition realised, barriers broken, and standards continually raised.
